Sweden has promised to send formidable Archer artillery mounts to Ukraine “in the very near future”.
However, she cautioned that future military assistance must be balanced with her own defense needs as a potential future NATO member.
During a visit to Kiev, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said the Archer howitzers, together with the 51 infantry fighting vehicles and anti-tank weapons promised by Sweden, “will make a significant contribution to the fighting force of Ukraine”.
