YouTube has removed two Artemy Lebedev channels

– Published on:

YouTube video hosting blocked two channels of Russian blogger and designer Artemy Lebedev – the main and secondary. On one of them was over a million subscribers.
The official reason for this decision is a “violation of the terms of use” of the platform. When you try to open both channels, the service displays a message that they are unavailable.
In October 2022, YouTube temporarily froze Lebedev’s channel. At that time, he had more than 850,000 subscribers. Then the designer said it happened after some people complained about him violating copyrights or community guidelines. Lebedev noted that for three of these complaints, any YouTube blogger could lose all content and the channel. After that, the blogger decided to create a backup account.
Lebedev registered a YouTube channel in September 2006. In recent years, he has posted news reviews with personal reactions there. In his videos, he repeatedly spoke out in favor of the actions of Russian troops in Ukraine. In July 2022, the creator visited the Donbass. Speaking about the trip on his social media, he wrote that he loves to travel and “visit rare and interesting places” and is happy to violate the entry ban issued by the Ukrainian authorities on entry in 2017 against him.
At the beginning of August, YouTube completely deleted the channel of Russian blogger Dmitry Puchkov (goblin), reporting to him a violation of the community guidelines. Puchkov himself said he had never received a warning from YouTube before.
“I can’t imagine how the poor goblin feels, who had a billion subscribers and a hundred million videos, which were deleted in one day. It’s probably like the explosion of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior Lebedev wrote about it after his own channel was temporarily blocked.
Dmitry Puchkov has been running a YouTube channel since 2007, discussing games, movies, TV shows and other topics there. More than three million users have subscribed to it, the blogger’s videos have totaled more than a billion views. TV channel “Star” Puchkov said who transferred all videos to Russian platforms 1.5 years ago.
