Prigozhin explained the suspension of the recruitment of prisoners in PMC “Wagner”

Wagner PMC creator Yevgeny Prigozhin called the decision to stop recruiting prisoners to the group a bad one. He explained its appearance by the presence of forces which “dry up” the PMCs. The Russian businessman’s comment on the Telegram channel was published by the press service of his company Concorde.

So he responded to a request from the publication Vesti Podmoskovye, which wanted to reduce the staff of the PMCs. According to Prigozhin, Wagner is becoming a more active and productive force than many other military formations. That is why he is deprived of the opportunity to replenish the ranks of fighters.

Of course, stopping the recruitment of prisoners is wrong. Bad not only for Wagner PMC, but also for those guys who are serving their time, would like to go to war and reset their lives, just like those who have already used their chance to atone for their guilt – been through the hell of war and came back home

Prigogine pointed out.

At the same time, he highlighted the active recruitment and training of PMC fighters, which is taking place in the regions. According to him, many of them want to. The process is not without difficulties.

For example, there were huge difficulties with advertising agencies, despite the fact that I generously funded recruitment advertising in the Wagner PMC. For example, many Moscow advertising agencies wrinkle their powdered noses and refuse to cooperate.

— said the businessman.

Prigozhin also reached out to ad agencies willing to work with Wagner with a call to help recruit fighters.

Earlier, Igor Kimakovsky, an adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that Wagner’s units were almost already fighting in the center of Artemovsk. At the same time, it is too early to speak of an operational encirclement of the city, he noted. The fact that Wagner’s fighters are on the outskirts of the center of Artemovsk became known on February 25.
