Russian singer SHAMAN explained why his composition “I am Russian” is not extremist. The artist had to write an explanatory note.

SHAMAN sent a letter to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Tula region. He was forced to write an explanatory note because of a citizen petition filed against him.

The document stated that the song “I am Russian” incites ethnic hatred in Russia. The singer himself noted that before the release of the composition, she passed the necessary checks.

“My song ‘I am Russian’ is known, loved and sung by representatives of completely different nationalities inhabiting our country,” the letter reads.

Recall that SHAMAN received All-Russian popularity in February 2022. Then the premiere of his patriotic song “Let’s get up” took place.
