The demand for vacations in sanatoriums has increased in Russia

Photo: Society

After the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, tourists lost their usual vacations abroad. This led to an increase in the demand for recreation in national sanatoriums.

As Mikhail Danilov, medical director of the Association for Health Tourism and Enterprise Health, told Kommersant, most bookings from the central zone of the Russian Federation fell on Caucasian Mineralnye Vody.

According to market participants, the price of accommodation in spa resorts in 2023 will increase by at least 15%. Russian resorts have managed to increase the depth of reservations. Previously, this figure was one to two weeks, now it starts from four to five months.

The earthquake in Turkey, which occurred on February 6, also affected the number of reservations. Russians began to prefer domestic tourism more often.

According to market participants, it is reasonable to speak of a further price increase only in the event of an increase in demand for the services of domestic spas.
