The European Union rules out an easing of sanctions against Russia in the near future

Changes, and even a relaxation of the sanctions regime and the abolition of certain measures against Russia, are not yet expected. This was told to Izvestia by the official representative of the EU foreign service, Peter Stano.

“The relaxation of sanctions or their removal is associated with a change in behavior for which they were introduced. So far we do not see such a change in the behavior of the Kremlin. The EU and its member states regularly review existing sanctions and adjust them according to developments on the ground,” he explained.

The response “to any further escalation” against Ukraine by the Russian Federation will continue. At the same time, reports have emerged earlier that the EU may soon remove some of the restrictions, but most of this data at present has nothing to do with the truth. We see that there is almost nothing left that can still be sanctioned.

Earlier it became known that, according to Serbian television, the head of state Aleksandar Vucic said that Western politicians in informal conversations admitted to participating in the conflict in Ukraine.
