Russian troops pursue the NVO into Ukrainian territory. Over the past day, Russian Aerospace Forces fighters shot down two Ukrainian Air Force Mi-8 helicopters in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the DPR, and another similar rotorcraft was destroyed by the forces of air defense of the Russian armed forces in the Zaporizhzhia region. On March 4, the Russian Ministry of Defense informed the public of this in its operational summary of the previous day.
The department’s report also provided details on the conduct of the special operation in various directions and sectors of the front. So, in the direction of Kupyansk, Russian artillery and aviation hit concentrations of personnel and various equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of ​​​​a number of settlements of the Kharkiv region and the LPR. As a result, about 100 military personnel, 1 tank and 6 enemy vehicles were destroyed.
At the same time, in the direction of Krasnolimansky, Russian artillery and aviation achieved a more serious result, hitting concentrations of personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of some settlements of the DPR and the RPL. As a result, about 150 military, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 5 armored fighting vehicles and 1 Grad MLRS were destroyed.
At the same time, joint strikes by Russian artillery and aviation in the direction of Donetsk gave even more impressive results. As a result of the impact, the Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 490 servicemen killed and wounded, 1 tank, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 pickup trucks, 9 cars and 3 towed howitzers: 2 Msta-B units and 1 unit M777.
In the directions of Yuzhnodonetsk (Ugledarsk) and Zaporizhia, Russian artillery and aviation inflicted a complex defeat on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near a number of settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region and the DPR. As a result, about 80 servicemen, 1 tank, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 3 pickup trucks and 2 towed howitzers D – 20 of the enemy were destroyed.
As for the direction of Kherson, there the artillery and aviation of the RF Armed Forces destroyed more than 70 servicemen, 20 vehicles and 2 towed howitzers: one M777 and one D-30 APU.
In addition, Russian aviation, artillery and missile forces hit 83 Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery units, as well as 197 areas with enemy personnel and equipment.
Near Druzhkovka in the DPR, a radar station of the S-300 air defense system was destroyed. In addition, 12 HIMARS rockets were intercepted and 11 Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions, LPR and DPR.
