In May this year, restoration work will begin at the house-museum of the pioneer of domestic aviation Alexander Mozhaisky, which is a branch of the Vologda Museum-Reserve. The building is a striking example of a late 19th century wooden country house.
Specialists will replace foundations, renew walls and ceilings, rebuild external networks, replace internal engineering networks, improve the area around the object and paint it in its original color – ocher. The work will last two years. 35 million rubles have been allocated for their implementation.
It should be noted that the question of the transfer of the exhibition from the museum is in the process of being decided. It is planned to place part of it in the transverse chamber of the Simonovsky building of the Vologda Kremlin.
