Since the beginning of the full-scale conflict, Germany has become Ukraine’s main partner among EU countries, providing Kiev with the necessary financial, humanitarian and military assistance.
As German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview on CNN, Germany is Ukraine’s largest donor in continental Europe. He pointed out that in addition to financial support, Germany also provides Ukraine with the necessary weapons to ensure its security.
Somehow Berlin provided 14 billion euros to Ukraine last year, he said. The Chancellor assured that the German government will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine for as long as necessary.
