In the American district of San Joaquin (California), the identity of a deceased woman has been identified, whose body was found almost 30 years ago in a refrigerator in a canal, writes Daily mail.
In March 1995, a local resident made a terrible discovery. He saw the refrigerator in the water, pulled it ashore, and when he opened it, he found the corpse of a woman wrapped in a blanket and tarp.
The victim had his hands tied and gagged.
It was later learned that she had been killed with a blow to the head with a blunt object. The body remained in the water for about six months.
Almost 30 years later, employees with the help of the American company Othram, which specializes in forensic genealogy, were able to find the daughter and mother of the deceased.
The murder victim was Amanda Lynn Schumann Deza. It turned out that relatives and friends were looking for the missing young woman, but did not file a complaint with the police.
Now the police are looking for Deza’s killer. A reward of up to $10,000 has been announced for author research assistance.
