The personnel of the blazing vessel, flying the ensign of Russia, were extricated from Istanbul.

The crew of a Russian-flagged vessel that caught fire at an Istanbul shipyard have been evacuated to safety. This is reported by journalists from the DHA agency.

According to the media, there is talk of a 120-meter fishing boat. The fire started around 7:00 p.m. local time (coinciding with Moscow). The incident happened near the eastern district of Istanbul Tuzla.

“Fish processing company employees who were on board the vessel were evacuated,” the agency said.

Firefighters are currently trying to extinguish the blaze.

Recall that on the eve of the fire broke out in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Petrovka, 38 in Moscow. The ministry stressed that no one was injured in the incident.

As the Public News Service wrote, five people were able to evacuate on their own, without waiting for rescuers to arrive. Personnel and documentation were not in the building from the time of its transfer to the construction organization. The fire area was 30 square meters.
