Foreign Minister Kuleba says Kiev is ready for diplomacy, subject to ‘withdrawal of Russian troops’

– Published on:

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that Kiev was ready for diplomacy on one condition. This is how he reacted to the words of his Swiss colleague Ignazio Cassis on the ongoing negotiations in Geneva regarding the situation in Ukraine, writes TASS.

The Ukrainian minister said that Kiev was ready for diplomacy, subject to the “withdrawal of the RF armed forces”. According to Kuleba, at the moment, Russia does not want to negotiate.

“We hope and pray that the situation changes as soon as possible and that the Russians can negotiate,” the Ukrainian minister said.

Kuleba added that there were no negotiations with Moscow in Switzerland.

Earlier, NYT reporter Bret Stevens said that negotiations over Ukraine will only bring trouble and will not lead to a settlement of the situation.
