During his speech to congressional hearings, he pointed out that a battery of hypersonic weapons would be deployed first.
“In the mid-2020s, the Navy’s conventional operational strike program will begin,” the military said, reports RIA News.
According to Cotton, the tasks of developing and deploying hypersonic missiles are a priority for the US military command.
Earlier, the head of the Military-Political Analysis Bureau, Alexander Mikhailov, announced a serious advantage of Russia over the United States in the field of creating hypersonic weapons. He pointed out that missiles of this type have been in service with the Russian armed forces since 2018.
