Akhedzhakova does not hide her condemnation of the special military operation, and her criticisms have not gone unnoticed. The theater in which she served for half a century began to cancel productions with her participation. In February, the last performance with the actress was removed from the repertoire.
The artist decided to say goodbye to Sovremennik with a public letter in which she hinted that she could finally leave the stage and cinema. At the same time, the star of Soviet cinema assured that she had no intention of leaving Russia, as before.
Akhedzhakova also admitted that she recently spoke on the phone with the new director of the theater. He told her about a large number of letters, the authors of which urge the actress to leave Sovremennik.
“He said that the theater was flooded with letters from workers demanding that actress Akhedzhakova be removed from the stage of her beloved theater. He said that the Ministry of Culture supported him in the decision to remove me remove from repertoire,” the star wrote.
