In St. Petersburg, the general director of the company responsible for snow removal in the Moscow region, Zvezdnoye, was arrested

Law enforcement officers arrested the general director of the company in St. Petersburg. He is suspected of fraud with the money allocated for snow removal in the city. We are talking about about 20 million rubles.

According to the UK, in 2020 the 45-year-old CEO signed a contract with the Zvezdnoye district administration, which included landscaping work. The audit showed that the work had not been carried out correctly. A criminal case has been opened in the incident. The question of the choice of a restraint measure for the detainee is currently being decided.

Snow-free roads in St. Petersburg for the second year cause a lot of trouble for local residents and guests of the city. Many complaints were sent to Governor Alexander Beglov, which remained unanswered. The city continues to be buried in snow, traffic jams and the number of accidents is increasing rapidly.
