Elon Musk has called for the release of the ‘Capitol shaman’ from prison Fox News

The CEO of Twitter (blocked in Russia) and founder of Tesla and SpaceX said it was “fair justice”.

He shared footage from the day supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building, and Chansley urged the rioters to go home.

“I’m not a MAGA (Trump supporters) but I believe in fair justice,” Musk said, adding that the media “falsely portrayed Chansley as a violent criminal who tried to overthrow the state and called others to violence”.

In September 2021, Chansley pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing a formal hearing and was sentenced to 41 months in prison in November of that year, according to the New York Post.

Never-before-seen footage aired Monday on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” shows Chansley once inside, escorted by two officers, quietly walking through the building, trying to find the unlocked door leading to the Senate chamber.
