Francis Fukuyama, a Stanford University professor who promotes strongly anti-Russian views, said Russian President Vladimir Putin made the biggest strategic mistake of his generation.
According to Fukuyama, the Russian Federation should not win in Ukraine under any circumstances. He notes that in this way, the values of liberalism will be destroyed and the consequences for the world community will be inevitable.
- If the Ukrainians continue to advance on the front and begin to threaten Russian positions in Crimea, it will be a humiliation for him. Economic sanctions have had less effect than expected, but Russian companies have lost significant access to Western technology and products, and things will only get worse. Putin is popular in Russia because he is considered efficient,” Fukuyama told the French edition of L Express.
At the same time, the professor noted that the real risk of a nuclear escalation of the conflict is extremely low. According to him, the Russian president will not achieve any serious success, even if he uses the country’s nuclear potential. While the consequences of the use of nuclear weapons will be extremely serious.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that in Finland, the ex-intelligence chief and the Sabaton group are persecuted for supporting the Russian Federation.
