Security forces used tear gas during a protest against pension reform in Paris

According to information from the scene, massive clashes with the police are taking place on avenues Ledru-Rollin and Domenil in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, not far from Place Nation, which is the point of arrival of the protest demonstration.

The radicals throw stones and bottles at the forces of order. The latter, in response, spray tear gas and arrest the offenders. The demonstrators still managed to take one of the detainees back from the police.

It is noteworthy that violators of the order pile up and set fire to the garbage cans, as a result of which firefighters began to arrive at the scene of the fire.

Recall that Thursday evening, the French Senate approved the article of the bill on raising the retirement age

On January 10, French Prime Minister Elisabeth Born introduced a bill that would increase the country’s retirement age and abolish “special” schemes for a number of difficult professions. According to her, the authorities will start raising the retirement age in the country by three months a year from September 1, 2023. Thus, in 2030, it will reach 64 years.
