Moscow Agency | Anton KardashovFashion historian Alexander Vasilyev has come under fire online for his statements about Russia.
Former Fashion Sentence host Alexander Vasilyev gave a talk in Israel. The fashion historian remembered Alla Pugacheva, Renata Litvinova and other show business stars who left the Russian Federation. Vasiliev said those who “were the face of fashion” had left Russia.
Not all Internet users agreed with the opinion of the TV presenter. In the comments, Vasilyev was reminded that he is a Lithuanian citizen, calling on the fashion historian to “make the people of the Baltic state happy with his presence”. One of the network users ridiculed the TV presenter’s opinion and called Pugacheva “the face of vulgarity.” In addition, Vasilyev was asked to know the measure in shaping the political agenda.
Today, at a meeting, members of the Federation Council approved a law on criminal liability for discrediting participants in a special operation, regardless of their status. Previously, it was adopted by the State Duma.
