After his victory today.. What are the calculations for Al-Ahly’s qualification to the quarter-finals of the African Champions League?

Al-Ahly of Egypt achieved a great victory at the expense of its host, Cameroonian Cotton, 4-0, today, Friday, in the fifth round of Group Two competitions in the African Champions League.

Mahmoud Kahraba recorded "hat-trick" (23, 29, 51) and South African Percy Tau (54), the goals of the Egyptian team.

The red genie raised its score to 7 points in third place in the group ranking table, while Cameroonian cotton remained scoreless.

The Red Devils need to lose Al-Hilal against Sun Downs tomorrow, Sunday, the first tie, with the Red Genie defeating Al-Hilal in the last round.

As for the victory of the Sudanese Crescent over Sun Downs, it means that the Red Genie is officially out of the qualification race, and its last match against Al-Hilal will be a foregone conclusion.

Al-Ahly succeeded in qualifying for the final of the African Champions League in the last three versions, and achieved the championship in two versions 2020 and 2021, while losing the last version to the Moroccan Wydad account in 2022.
