The 10th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition witnessed a great turnout by visitors on its second day, as a large number of citizens and residents visited the pavilions of national and foreign companies, which offered many food commodities to the public at special prices.
Many visitors expressed their happiness with the exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Municipality during the period from 15-19 of this month, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. They expressed their admiration for the pavilions that introduce the methods of agriculture and animal production, whether in national or foreign companies, and pointed out that it is a unique experience that deserves to be seen and seen. In the same context, the activities of the scientific conference continued, which is a scientific, cultural and research platform aimed at exchanging information, experiences and scientific data specialized in food security, agriculture, livestock and fisheries, in addition to discussing the impact of the environment and climate change on food security.
The conference hosts a group of scientists, consultants, researchers, government officials, experts from the private agricultural sector, and experts from the academic sector. The first day dealt with a number of initiatives, opportunities and projects in the agricultural sector around the world. Speakers from El Salvador, the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Iran and Kazakhstan reviewed their experiences and expertise in the field of agriculture and food security. The second day dealt with reviewing some scientific papers from the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, companies operating in the agricultural sector, and some scientists in national universities and research centers. Some scientific papers focused on the contribution of land plants in Qatar to food security, cultivating soil and substrates that improve plant growth, evaluating the food profile in Qatar through energy, food and water approaches, sustainable landscaping and others. It is worth noting that the conference is attended by 50 speakers and 50 scientific research papers over 5 days.
