The 10th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition witnessed a great turnout by visitors on its second day, as a large number of citizens and residents visited the pavilions of national and foreign companies, which offered many food commodities to the public at special prices.

Many visitors expressed their happiness with the exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Municipality during the period from 15-19 of this month, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. They expressed their admiration for the pavilions that introduce the methods of agriculture and animal production, whether in national or foreign companies, and pointed out that it is a unique experience that deserves to be seen and seen. The Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition aims to support agricultural development projects, food security, achieve sufficiency and enhance environmental protection in Qatar, and provide an opportunity for those interested, participants and decision-makers in the public and private sectors to meet and exchange relevant experiences and knowledge locally and internationally, display products, equipment and technologies and stand on indicators and developments in the sector. agriculture in Qatar.

The Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition comes at the forefront of the comprehensive platforms that allow players in the agricultural sector the opportunity to explore the latest trends and developments and win business opportunities in this vital sector.

In this regard, the Public Works Authority participates "works" In the exhibition as a golden sponsor, it presents its most important projects and initiatives, including the implementation of green buildings, recycling of demolition waste, drilling and car tires, and using them in the implementation of road projects and wastewater treatment to benefit from them in irrigation, beautification and cultivation of green spaces, in addition to some awareness campaigns through which it seeks to improve behaviors in dealing with waste water.

Hassad Company is also participating in the exhibition as a golden sponsor, and the company’s pavilion received a large audience, and the visitors were briefed on the expansion plans that the company intends to carry out during the coming period, as the company, through its expansions, supports the food security of the State of Qatar, through the establishment of grain stores and many other Indoor farms that meet the requirements of the local market, in addition to fish markets in the Al Khor and Al Ruwais regions. These markets are equipped with the latest modern technological means to preserve the products offered by local fishermen to the public.

During the exhibition, Hassad will display a variety of products of its subsidiaries, which are of high quality, including: fresh vegetables, poultry, chilled Australian meat, fodder products, types of dates, oils and rice, in addition to displaying the latest agricultural technologies, machinery and equipment. The “Baladna” pavilion attracted a large number of the public, as the visitors expressed their happiness at visiting the company’s pavilion, which was distinguished by its strong organization and high-quality products.


In the same context, the activities of the scientific conference continued, which is a scientific, cultural and research platform aimed at exchanging information, experiences and scientific data specialized in food security, agriculture, livestock and fisheries, in addition to discussing the impact of the environment and climate change on food security.

The conference hosts a group of scientists, consultants, researchers, government officials, experts from the private agricultural sector, and experts from the academic sector. The first day dealt with a number of initiatives, opportunities and projects in the agricultural sector around the world. Speakers from El Salvador, the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Iran and Kazakhstan reviewed their experiences and expertise in the field of agriculture and food security. The second day dealt with reviewing some scientific papers from the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, companies operating in the agricultural sector, and some scientists in national universities and research centers. Some scientific papers focused on the contribution of land plants in Qatar to food security, cultivating soil and substrates that improve plant growth, evaluating the food profile in Qatar through energy, food and water approaches, sustainable landscaping and others. It is worth noting that the conference is attended by 50 speakers and 50 scientific research papers over 5 days.
