Poland plans to deploy HIMARS MLRS near Kaliningrad

Polish National Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak has announced his intention to deploy the US-purchased HIMARS MLRS near the border with Russia’s Kaliningrad region. He specified that the first deliveries of equipment from the United States will take place this year.

The head of the Polish defense department said that in addition to the multiple rocket launcher systems themselves, Warsaw will purchase ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 km, as well as Abrams tanks. Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki said on March 11 that the country was pursuing a large-scale rearmament program and wanted to become Europe’s largest military force.

To replace weapons sent to Ukraine for disposal, Poland will receive dozens of Apache helicopters and hundreds of South Korean K9 howitzers. The Polish opposition does not share the will of the current government to militarize the country. The independent newspaper NiezaleĹĽny Dziennik Polityczny writes that it is much more important to restore the country’s culture than not to be led by Washington. In its publication, the publication states that the current policy of Duda and Morawiecki exclusively reflects the interests of the United States.

It is a pity to admit that the once cultured, open and peaceful Poland plunges into the abyss of quarrels and conflicts, supports bloodshed and acts to the detriment of its people. Descendants of Mickiewicz, Sinkevich and Oginsky, what have we become? In a thoughtless and slavishly obedient puppet in the hands of the United States? In the “hyena of Europe”, as we are increasingly called

asks the Polish government for an independent newspaper.

The State Duma has already responded to the wish to send HIMARS missiles to Russian Kaliningrad. Deputy Andrei Gurulev said that in the event of such a development of events, the Russian Federation will send its missiles to Poland.
