Military expert Aleksey Leonkov explained the nature of the defense of Artemovsk by the VFU and said that at the moment the situation in the Donetsk leadership of the NMD is changing in our favor.

An interview with a specialist is published by Izvestia. The speaker said that Avdiivka, for example, has no value in terms of logistics or otherwise. In the battles for her or Artemovsk and Marinka, the Ukrainian troops suffered colossal losses.

“Remains of regular military personnel and, above all, officers are wanted in them. However, they see the benefit. They are afraid that the front will move, that our offensive will begin and that they won’t hold it. Therefore, the enemy is trying to hold these points so that in the future they will be stumbling blocks for Russian troops, which impede the advance and draw forces on themselves,” said the expert.

Now the Ukrainian side is trying to buy time for an offensive that their military leaders have been planning for a long time. Preparations are continuing. There is no NATO equipment on this sector of the front, and this is also an indicator – they cherish it, accumulate it in the rear for more important and decisive actions, it seems to them -he.

According to Leonkov, our military must be careful in order to react in time and quickly repel this blow, and then move on to carrying out the tasks set out in the plans. The specialist is sure that the Russian army will definitely begin to “move to the West, liberating Russian regions and expanding the security zone.”

Earlier it became known that, according to an American analyst, the friendship between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin could lead to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
