Today, Saturday, the competitions of the seventh edition of the "The International Classic Chess Open Championship" This took place in the large hall of the Qatar Chess Training Center, with the participation of 130 male and female players representing 23 countries. The Filipino Leola Robinson leads the standings at the end of the fifth round with 5 points, ahead of the Indian player Gianna Santosh, and the player Ivan Elishiev came third with 4 and a half points, then the Indian Syed Khadr and Barnav Pradev finished fourth and fifth with the same number of points, but they are behind the transfer difference. . The player Irfan Muhammad came in the 20th place with three and a half points, and Khaled Al-Jamaat came in the 38th place with three points, and they have a great opportunity to improve their ranking in the last two rounds. The competitions are held in seven rounds according to the Swiss system in the way of playing: 60 minutes + 30 seconds additional move, during which all the regulations and laws of the International Chess Federation regarding the classic and anti-cheating system are applied. Participation in it was approved for all players below the international classification of 2200 points, and each participant was required to possess a valid membership number (FIDE ID) in the International Chess Federation. The total prizes for the tournament are 25,000 riyals, with the winner getting 5,000 riyals, while the runner-up will get 3,000 riyals, and the third-place winner will get 2,000 riyals, in addition to material prizes for the rest of the centers.
