Polyansky: Russia will invite DPR mediator to speak at informal meeting of UN Security Council

– Published on:

Russia will invite DPR mediator Daria Morozova to an informal meeting of the UN Security Council. Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s first deputy representative to the UN, announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, Morozova spoke at the meeting according to the “Arria formula”, which implies a freer procedure for holding the meeting.

“We will certainly invite him to the (UN Security) Council for an informal meeting on the Arria formula,” the diplomat wrote.

Earlier, the UN Security Council denied DPR ombudsman Darya Morozova a speech at a meeting on Ukraine. We note that four countries, including Russia and China, voted in favor of the Mediator’s speech, eight voted against, including the United Kingdom, the United States and France, three countries abstained.
