The Egyptian and Sudanese fans are awaiting the fateful confrontation between Al-Ahly and Al-Hilal in the African Champions League, which will determine the second qualifier to the quarter-finals, amid a charged atmosphere against the backdrop of the first-leg match hosted by Khartoum, which ended with the victory of the hosts 1-0.

Today, Al-Ahly announced, through its Twitter account, the approval of the Egyptian security to attend the 50,000 fans of the Al-Hilal match on the first of next April in Cairo, while the Sudanese club decided to address the Confederation of African Football (CAF) about what it described as "Threats issued by the Egyptian Al-Ahly fans"according to Reuters.

Al-Ahly is counting on the support of its fans "Player number 12" In order to pass to the next round in the tournament, where he asked to be allowed to attend the full capacity of the Cairo Stadium, before the security agreed to only 50,000 fans for his match in the sixth and final round of the second group.

Al-Ahly needs to win 1-0, or by a difference of two goals, to accompany the South African Sun Downs and qualify for the quarter-finals, while a tie will be sufficient for Al-Hilal to ensure passage to the next round.

Sun Downs leads the group with 11 points and is one point ahead of Al Hilal, second in the standings. Al-Ahly comes in third place with 7 points, while the Cameroonian Cotton Club is in last place without points.

In a related context, the Sudanese Crescent announced today that it had decided to address the Confederation of African Football (CAF) about what it described "Threats issued by the Egyptian Al-Ahly fans" This was before the upcoming confrontation between the two teams.

The club said in a statement on its Facebook page, according to Reuters: "The council decided to address CAF through the club’s general secretary and to attach all the videos issued by Al-Ahly fans against Al-Hilal, which call for broadcasting and spreading hate speech.".

added "The club urges the Continental Union to take all measures that preserve and ensure the safety of the Crescent mission and its fans, from arrival to Cairo until departure".

After the first match in Khartoum, Al-Ahly filed a complaint about his exposure "for frequent transgressions" From Al-Hilal Club and its fans, saying that its host "He did not commit to holding the match without a crowd due to lack of safety conditions in the stadium, and more than a thousand fans were allowed to attend the match".

Al-Ahly accused a member of the medical staff of Al-Hilal "Assaulting human rights defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim with a medical device" Adding that this person "He continued on the bench despite being expelled from the referee, and tried to attack the goalkeeper and captain of Al-Ahly, Muhammad Al-Shennawy, after the end of the match". Members of the host club’s administrative staff were also charged "By assaulting (substitute goalkeeper) Ali Lotfi and (midfielder) Hamdi Fathi".
