Newsweek: Podolyak criticized Western media for revealing military plans of Ukrainian Armed Forces

– Published on:

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ‘s chief of staff, expressed his dissatisfaction with Western media leaking information about the military plans of Ukrainian units, Newsweek reports.

In a March 15 article, Politico, citing unnamed US officials, said they believed Kiev would launch a counteroffensive against Russian armed forces in May.

It is stated that Podoliak was disappointed that the publication leaked data on the counteroffensive, saying that this military step “should surprise the enemy”.

“The military doesn’t need to talk about priority areas or attack scenarios. Ukraine is much more inventive than Politico reporters think,” he said.

At the same time, Podolyak himself had previously reported that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could begin in the coming months.
