And in the council of Youssef, Ali and Abdul Rahman, the sons of Muhammad Yousef Al-Mahmoud in Al-Wakra city, we met with many of the council’s pioneers and some of the guests, and we discussed with them: Is the local product sufficient for consumption during the month of Ramadan? Ali Al-Mahmoud: Ramadan in Al-Wakra has a special character. Mr. Ali bin Muhammad Yousef Al-Mahmoud spoke about the preparations of the people of Al-Wakra to receive this holy month when they were young, as they feel the spirituality of this holy month when it comes, as tasks are distributed to everyone by the family. He said: We were happy to perform the tasks with activity, love and enthusiasm, and I remember we used to paint the house white, renovate it, decorate it and beautify it, especially the daily gathering room in which we used to eat breakfast at the various Ramadan table with the family, and the table differed from the days of the year, so there were certain dishes such as mash, porridge, rice and dessert dishes Like Luqaimat, Sago, Balaleet, and others. He added, “I was in charge of cleaning and preparing the ‘fanar’, which is the lantern of lighting, as there was no electricity at that time in Al-Wakra, and we were distributing Ramadan dishes to the neighbors, and one of the people from Al-Wakra was the one who sold meat at night and buyers accepted it, as there was no There was a specialized butcher shop, and I used to buy sweets “Barmeet” from the house of “Umm Yusef”, where she sold sweets and what the young people need in her house. It is very much on Garangao day, when we pass by the houses and they give us sweets and nuts, and we were happy with that and we felt its sweetness. And he talked about the main topic for discussion in the council: does the local product meet and suffice the needs of consumers in the blessed month of Ramadan? Saying: «Yes, the local product is sufficient and covers the needs of consumers, and there is interest from the owners of farms and factories that produce important foodstuffs that meet the needs of consumers and it was provided in abundance before the advent of the holy month, and frankly the state is keen on everything that is in the interest of the citizen and the resident, based on studies What is consumed in this holy month, and therefore the state is working to provide the necessary needs that are consumed by citizens and residents. Saqr Al-Muftah: Supporting the national product in the holy month. The father, Saqr bin Muhammad Al-Muftah, who is one of the permanent pioneers of the Council, emphasized the importance of the blessed month of Ramadan, and that it is the month of goodness, obedience, blessings, communication, mercy, visiting relatives and kinship ties. We must reconcile if there are differences and discard those differences before Ramadan because it A month of affection and mercy, multiplying good deeds, helping the poor, inviting them to break their fast, being keen to read the Holy Qur’an, teaching our children our customs in the month of Ramadan, and adhering to fasting because it is one of the pillars of Islam. He added: «The people of Al-Wakra were united and cooperating, everyone helped the other and the visits were continuous between them and cooperation in good and righteousness, and the councils in Al-Wakra were open and the visits were mutual, and in the beautiful time we used to read the Holy Qur’an in it after Taraweeh, and the Ramadan ghabka was served in it, and most of it is red bread, brownish and fish because, as it is said, it is light. at night.” Saqr Al-Muftah added, “Praise be to God, the local product is available in the market at cheap prices, suitable for consumers, and better than materials imported from abroad. The national product must be supported by buying from them.” Muhammad Masoum Al-Maraghi: Exploiting Ramadan with acts of worship and night prayers Muhammad Masoum Al-Maraghi presented important Ramadan advice, and focused on paying attention to fasting because it is one of the pillars of Islam, performing night worship and Tarawih prayers, reading and reciting the Qur’an, performing the Night of Decree, seclusion in mosques during the month of Ramadan, and helping the poor and needy and feed them. And he continued: «We have to pray a lot in this holy month, for God responds to the supplication of the servant while he is fasting, and he is free to accept his supplication for him, just as the Umrah in Ramadan has a great reward, and we also have to pay zakat and pay it on time, and it is important to do good in Ramadan, and we must avoid and stay away. What invalidates fasting, such as entertainment and useless nights, and focusing on acts of worship, and for girls to be modest in the month of Ramadan when they go to markets and shopping malls, and we do not forget to focus on upholding ties of kinship, especially in this holy month. Jassim Al-Mahmoud: Some commodities are not available in the markets. Journalist Jassim Al-Mahmoud – one of the pioneers of the council – spoke about the spirituality of the month of Ramadan in Al-Wakra, saying: “We used to receive the holy month with joy and a feeling of eagerness for this holy month in which worship abounds, and I was always happiest in my childhood riding bicycles And we walk around in Al-Fareej, and I distribute dishes to the neighbors, and I make sure to pray in congregation in the mosque, attend Tarawih prayers, and pray with the congregation.” Jassim Al-Mahmoud also spoke about the availability of the local product, saying: “Some commodities are not available, especially the labneh from the local product these days. Completing some deficiencies, and for the local product to continue on the shelves of associations, supermarkets, and trade complexes specialized in foodstuffs. Youssef Al-Muftah: The local product is better than the imported one. Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Muftah spoke, saying: “The month of Ramadan is considered the month of goodness and blessing, kinship ties, visiting relatives and doing good deeds. And we are keen to recite and read the Qur’an and complete the prayers, each according to his ability. At the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, we give these seals to our dead and the dead Muslims, and the Mutawa recites the supplication for the seal of the Qur’an, then we pray for all of our dead for mercy and forgiveness, then we eat a light meal. He added: “With regard to the local product, frankly, I was always frequenting the evergreen Shabra, and I always saw the local product, the production of Qatar is available and in abundance, and I was very happy. The demand to buy the product is very high, and I am keen to buy local products because they are better and better. We also thank those in charge of the country for supporting important consumer goods in the blessed month of Ramadan.
