In the State Duma, during the plenary session, a draft statement of the chamber “On the genocide of the peoples of the Soviet Union by Germany and its accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” was adopted.
The text of the document indicates that the State Duma declares the importance of giving judicial and legal assessment to crimes against humanity during the Great Patriotic War.
Taking into account the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, the Charter and the Judgment of the Nuremberg Tribunal, the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, the Convention on the Non-Applicability of War Crimes and Crimes Against humanity, the State Duma recognized the acts of the Nazi invaders as a genocide of the peoples of the USSR, as well as of their accomplices in relation to the civilian population of the Soviet Union.
In addition, the text refers to Ukrainian news. The responsibility for the Ukrainian conflict lies with those who supply Ukraine with deadly weapons by financing terrorists and who are ready to fight Russia “to the last Ukrainian soldier”.
