Actress Victoria Pedretti, known for her role in the shows Haunting of Hill House and You, shared an Instagram post yesterday that got a lot of attention.
In , where she shared a nude photo of herself, the actress said she was celebrating her body and it was a joke to claim that by being simple women can be protected from harassment sexual.
“What is ‘partial nudity?'” Happy birthday to me. On my birthday last year, a “very famous actor” approached me in ecstasy and said, “I’ve fallen in love with you countless times.” I was struck by this audacity. He said that AFTER he told me how much he RESPECTS me as an actress lol.”
She then celebrated her body and said she loved it because it was hers.
Victoria didn’t specify who this actor is, but has now disappeared, though it’s unclear if she deleted it herself or if Instagram did it because of the nudity.
However, netizens were quick to message Victoria in support and condemn the anonymous actor.
“Why would anyone say that? Disgusting,” said one.
“It’s absolutely disgusting and humiliating, should she take that as a compliment?” It’s completely out of the blue and weird,” said another.
“I was in the same graduating class as her in elementary school, and she really is a wonderful soul.” No one deserves this kind of nonsense, especially not her.”
“Why would anyone think it’s appropriate to say that to another person?”
Victoria was asked to name the actor so he could be embarrassed.
