Krasnodar “Kuban” lost to CSKA Moscow in the Women’s Handball Superleague game. The capital team, leaders of the tournament, won another victory in the season at their site with a score of 32:27.

The hosts won the first half 18:11, after the break Kuban managed to narrow the advantage slightly. Valeria Sobkalo scored 6 goals for Krasnodar, Anastasia Shavman, who was called up to the Russian national team on the eve of the match, scored 5 times. For the hosts, Elena Mikhailichenko became the most productive – 6 goals.

The guests showed the best percentage of shots taken 62% against 59%, but Kuban lost a lot more balls – 18, while CSKA had only 8.


CSKA wins 32 in 32 matches and takes first place. Kuban remained in sixth position with 35 points after 33 games – 16 wins, 3 draws and 14 losses.

Until the end of the second stage, Krasnodar still has 3 games to play. The closest of them will be at home against Dynamo-Sinara Volgograd. The match will take place on March 28 in the games room of the regional handball school.
