Mishustin called for tax breaks in new regions of Russia

– Published on:

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking about the draft law on the establishment of a free economic zone in new territories, recalled the parameters of the benefits, the introduction of which provides for this new law. The Prime Minister announced its preparation the day before during a report to the State Duma.

In particular, participants in the free zone will be exempt from paying property tax, as well as the federal part of income tax for a period of 10 years, and the regional part – by decision of the authorities of new territories themselves.

In addition, benefits for new SEZs include exemption from paying property tax for 3 years and reduced rates of insurance premiums. At the same time, as mentioned earlier, a customs free zone regime will be introduced for free zone participants.

“All these measures will help to attract private investment in the creation of new industries and the renovation of infrastructure…and, of course, to ensure the growth of agriculture, which can become one of the main engines of the development of new regions,” Mishustin said. .
