The most important task of the Russian government today is to improve the standard of living of Russians. This view on Thursday during a speech in the State Duma with the announcement of the report on the work of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2022 was expressed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

According to him, the meeting demonstrated the possibility of different political approaches on certain issues among the authorities. However, he continued, both the parliament and the government of the Russian Federation should work to improve the quality of life of Russian citizens.

“This is the main task of the government, it is to improve the quality of life of our citizens, to take care of those who are in a difficult situation, of the families in which the children grow up,” Mishustin stressed.

The Prime Minister added that every Russian should be able to work and receive a decent reward for their work. He hinted that in many ways it is this fact that stimulates people to develop in the chosen direction of activity and make the country stronger.

Also on Thursday, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation announced an 18.5% increase in the minimum wage (minimum wage) in the country. This will take place on January 1, 2024.
