Norway’s plans to increase ammunition production for Ukraine do not materialize. Entrepreneurs are complaining about the lack of electricity due to the TikTok data center, reports RBC.

Norwegian arms maker Raufoss Nammo says electricity for its business is routed to a TikTok data center being built in the country. Recently, the Norwegian Defense Company sponsored the Ukrainian Armed Forces, producing ammunition and sending it to Ukraine.

On one side of Lake Mjesa, near the town of Hamar, is the Rafoss Armaments Business Park. The entrepreneur chose this location not by chance, but because of cheap electricity from a hydroelectric plant. However, on the other side of the reservoir, a Chinese TikTok data center is being built. And entrepreneurs in the PRC have already “staked” the use of electricity.

“Authorities must choose between preserving cat videos or providing essential social functions,” the Nammo CEO said.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Blinken said that the Chinese social network poses a security threat to the United States. How TikTok with videos poses a threat to the United States, the politician did not comment. However, the United States budget plan for fiscal year 2023 still indicates that American public servants will be prohibited from using this social network.
