Sanctions on Russia push it to strengthen ties with China

The Western initiative to divide Russia and China is at an impasse. Sanctions imposed on Moscow are pushing it to step up cooperation with Beijing, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalyn told NTV.

– I think the West has misanalyzed events in the East. Sanctions on Russia are pushing it towards China, a spokesman for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

Kalyn said the West initially had a plan to separate the Russian Federation and China. At the same time, they saw great danger in China. But it has already become clear that NATO politicians have miscalculated in their attempts to alienate Moscow and Beijing.

Earlier, the “Main Regional” reported that Turkey plans to carefully study the PRC’s proposals on a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
