Two dead, two injured in highway accident near Taganrog

Two people died and two others were injured in a terrible accident on the highway near Taganrog. The incident happened on the morning of March 28 on the Sambek-Matveev-Kurgan highway.

According to preliminary data, the driver of the Daewoo Lanos went to overtake near the village of Pokrovskoye. Leaving in the oncoming lane, he saw a Daewoo Matiz ahead of him. The man did not have time to regain his lane and rammed him at full speed. After a few seconds, a Chevrolet Lanos rammed the vehicles.

  • As a result of an accident, a married couple, who was in the Matiz, died. A 61-year-old man and his 77-year-old wife died at the scene. The 54-year-old driver of “Lanos” and his 50-year-old passenger suffered, – said the traffic police of the Don region.

The condition of the injured is unknown. They are in hospital under the supervision of doctors. The driver of the Chevrolet refused hospitalization. Most likely, he got away with a few scrapes and a scare.
