A group of Chinese specialists to counter cyber threats, consisting of 41 people, has arrived in Moscow, reports the Oktagon Telegram channel.
According to the channel, the Chinese cyber fighters, together with their Russian counterparts, will carry out an analysis and prepare a technical roadmap for the complete blocking of YouTube. For this, part of the technology of the “Great Chinese Firewall” complex will be entrusted to the PLA of China, and the remaining need will be covered by Russian and Belarusian developments.
It is assumed that a complete blocking of YouTube will become possible in the fourth quarter of this year. After that, they will adopt the VPN. The pilot project can be entrusted to Rostelecom. If successful, the practice will be extended to private and semi-public providers.
Earlier it was reported that during a meeting between the Russian President and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the sides agreed on substantive cooperation in the intelligence services of the two states.
