Putin dismissed Alexander Burkov from of governor of the Omsk region

Russian President Vladimir Putin today accepted the resignation of Omsk Region Governor Alexander Burkov. The corresponding decree was published on the official website of the President.
Chairman of the DPR Cabinet of Ministers Vitaly Khotsenko has been appointed as the region’s acting governor.
“I decide: to accept the resignation of the governor of the Omsk region Burkov AL at will. To appoint Khotsenko Vitaly Pavlovich acting governor of the Omsk region until the person elected governor of the Omsk region takes his functions,” the document says.

Vitaly Khotsenko Putin has already managed to speak with Khotsenko via video link and said there are many unresolved issues that will need to be resolved.
“At the same time, of course, the focus should be on people who know the problems of the region well, work there and have a proven track record,” the president asked.
Now the former head of the region, Burkov, commenting on his resignation, said he was ready to continue helping the Omsk region. He stressed that he will continue to work in Putin’s team, but now in a different position.
“The time spent in Omsk I will always remember with warmth and love. Part of my heart remains with you!”, — said the ex-governor. He led the region for five years.
