The Government of Kazakhstan has resigned

The government of Kazakhstan, led by Alikhan Smailov, resigned due to the election of a new composition of the lower house of parliament (Majilis). This is stated in the decree of the President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
It was noted that the Cabinet of Ministers is resigning in accordance with the new Constitution. The basic law of the republic requires the government to resign its powers to the newly elected Majilis. Also, the ministers will exercise their functions until the formation of a new cabinet.
Recall that early elections of Mazhilis deputies took place on March 19. The Amanat party won the majority of seats in the chamber – 62 out of 98. Kazakh government resigns
