The former Austrian foreign minister says the West is not interested in a diplomatic channel in Ukraine

– Published on:

Former Austrian Foreign Ministry chief Karin Kneissl said Washington and Brussels are not interested in a diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The diplomat made the corresponding statement on the airwaves of the Turkish television channel TRT World.
She shared an observation that when the PRC offered its 12 points to resolve the Ukraine conflict, Washington and Brussels rejected them, saying it was “just points, not a peace plan.”
“The way China’s proposal was rejected was very rude, rude. This shows us very little interest at the moment from Brussels and Washington in actually getting to work,” Kneissl said.
Kneissl said earlier that the Gulf states and China were particularly annoyed by the sanctions against Russia. She added that the unification of China and Arab countries is a natural union created by the G7 and the European Union.
