According to the head of the selection point for military service under the contract in the Kurgan region, Vladimir Kopiev, applicants for service have the right to choose whether or not they will participate in the special operation. Also, every citizen of the Russian Federation has the right to choose the type and type of armed forces, as well as the place of service.
In a video message posted on the regional government’s Telegram channel, Vladimir Kopyev also said that contract soldiers were promised payments of 200,000 rubles or more, as well as a one-time payment of 195,000 rubles from the Russian Ministry of Security. Defense.
Those wishing to serve in the NVO zone will receive an additional 120,000 rubles from the regional government. According to Kopiev, applicants are paid for the trip to Kurgan and passing a medical examination. The contract is concluded for a period of three months or more at the request of citizens.

Russia is indeed able to recruit 400,000 contract soldiers to serve in the armed forces, Yury Shvytkin, deputy chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, said earlier.
