Prosecutors charge Trump with more than 30 counts of commercial fraud

Former US President Donald Trump is charged with more than 30 counts of business fraud, according to the jury. On this subject informed CNN citing sources.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg tweeted a statement saying the office had contacted the ex-president’s attorney about the charges against him.
“We contacted Mr. Trump’s attorney this evening to arrange his transfer to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for arraignment under a Supreme Court indictment which remains closed,” the statement said.
The prosecutor also noted that additional information will be provided on how the date for the filing of charges will be chosen.
The day before, on March 30, a jury in a New York court had issued an indictment in the case of Donald Trump’s involvement in the payment of $ 130,000 to pornographic actress Stormy Daniels. The prosecutor said she was given money to “buy silence” about her alleged connection to the former US leader.
It is the first time in American history that a current or former president of a country will face criminal charges. Trump denied guilt and said the jury’s decision was a “political persecution”.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, commenting on the former president’s case on Twitter, said state authorities would not assist with Trump’s possible extradition. He called the circumstances of the criminal case “dubious” and noted that they were linked to the Manhattan prosecutor and his political projects. According to DeSantis, Alvin Bragg broke the law to attack a political opponent.

Reports that the former US president in 2006 was in a relationship with Stormy Daniels appeared in January 2018. The Wall Street Journal published an article saying that Trump, shortly before the 2016 presidential election, paid the actress 130 $000 to keep her quiet. The politician himself claimed that he had no personal relationship with Daniels.
