Trump calls allegations against him ‘highest level of election interference’

– Published on:

Former US leader Donald Trump has reacted to the results of the New York grand jury’s vote that charges should be brought against him. The former head of state called it political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history, writes the New York Times (NYT).
In addition, the 45th President of the United States said that the Manhattan prosecutor was doing the “dirty work” of current White House leader Joe Biden instead of punishing criminals, fighting murders and crime in New York.
Earlier, the NYT reported that on Thursday, a US jury voted to indict Trump in the Trump Organization’s falsifying financial records case. In addition, sources from the newspaper noted that, presumably, the former president will be asked to surrender to the authorities of his own free will.
