The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, called the reasons for the successful conduct of hostilities by “musicians” in Ukraine. He noted that the experience of previous campaigns, in which Wagner managed to participate in the past ten years, played an important role in this.
According to Prigozhin, the success of the PMC’s military operations in Ukraine is, of course, linked to the experience of the Syrian campaigns. At the same time, the Russian businessman clarified that the role of hostilities in Syria is not in the lead, although, obviously, there is.
The success of Wagner PMC is not only due to the Syrian conflict, it is due to the wars that Wagner PMC managed to go through during those almost 10 years leading up to the conflict in Ukraine. And so, yes, of course, the Syrian conflict is also important here, but not the main one,” he said.
Additionally, Prigozhin compared war tactics between ISIS and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since both groups are de facto under US control. The head of Wagner noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine display a completely different level of war tactics, as they are a regular army and are responsible for specific territories.
