Some areas of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky were cut off from electricity due to a strong earthquake that was recorded on the peninsula on Monday. This is reported in the Kamchatskenergo press service.
As reported, after strong shaking at Mutnovskaya GeoPP-1, turbogenerator No. 2 was turned off, causing a power shortage of 12 MW.
Additionally, Kamchatskenergo noticed that they were using additional equipment to eliminate power shortages. Light in disconnected microdistricts reappeared after 23 minutes, the company added.
