Many sports institutions, within the framework of their social activities in the country, are keen to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan by organizing and holding sports events and tournaments in a number of sports for both men and women. The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation comes at the forefront of the federations that continue their activities during the holy month, as the second edition of the Qatar Junior Tennis Federation Open Championship was launched on the courts of the Khalifa International Complex on the fourth day of Ramadan, with the participation of more than 150 players, and it will last for a week. The tournament participants competed in various competitions, including the boys category for under 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 18 years, and the girls category for under 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 18 years. On the other hand, the competitions of the second edition of the Khalifa Complex Open Squash Championship began on the 11th of Ramadan, which will continue until the 16th of Ramadan. The Qatar Federation is also organizing the third edition of the Khalifa Bin Tawar Al-Kuwari Padel Championship for men, which will be held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel stadiums from the 18th to the 24th of the holy month. The Executive Director of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation, Saad Al-Mohannadi, told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the three tournaments, which are: the Qatar Junior Tennis Federation Open Championship, the Khalifa Open Squash Complex Championship and the Khalifa bin Tawar Al-Kuwari Paddle Championship, which are held under the umbrella of the federation, are of great importance. It is held in the holy month of Ramadan, as the federation is keen on the need to ensure the continuity of sports activity for the players of the national teams during the holy month, as well as to provide the opportunity for fans of the game of all ages and groups to participate in it, in a way that establishes the value of sport in society and enhances the popularity of the game. Al-Mohannadi added that the Qatar Tennis Federation is also supervising the Nasser bin Khalid Tennis Championship, which is scheduled to be held during the holy month at the Sheraton Hotel, stressing that the Qatar Tennis Federation during the blessed month provides everything that would maintain the level of Qatari players and achieve further development and gain experience by organizing tournaments. different. At the beginning of the blessed month, the first Ramadan activities were launched, which is the “Al Wajba” championship in its 21st edition. The Qatar Table Tennis Association organized the competitions of the first edition of the Ramadan Ambassadors Championship at Lusail Sports Hall, with the large participation of a number of ambassadors to the State of Qatar..
