The Qatari Media Center of the Ministry of Culture organized a special photography and training session on the occasion of Garangao Night, presented by trainer Abdullah Sorour, where the participants learned about the most basic skills in the art of photography. The session witnessed a wide participation from different age groups, with the motive of identifying the most important basics of the art and skills of photography and the techniques used to use the mobile camera in filming public events and celebrations, including Garangao Night. Participants also got acquainted with the techniques of using backgrounds during photography, as well as learning about the most important techniques for using photographic angles and other skills that can help users in taking artistic and diverse photos. Ms. Iman Al-Kaabi, Director of the Qatar Media Center, noted that this event comes within the framework of the Center’s keenness to provide a special interactive material that is commensurate with the annual celebration of Garangao Night. Al-Kaabi indicated that the center was keen to make the participation in this year’s Garangao night different, and not only presenting traditional and repetitive activities, but rather presenting an activity capable of adding an atmosphere of pleasure as well as learning to the participants, stressing that the photos that are taken for an occasion such as the Garangao remain present in the memory. Therefore, it must be suitable, while opening the way for all those who wish to have a share of this memory by learning about appropriate photography techniques. The Qatari Media Center affiliated with the Ministry of Culture continues its distinguished Ramadan program for this year, which it launched at the beginning of the holy month, including many events, competitions and training workshops, in addition to a special Ramadan Ghabga that the center is currently preparing.
