The PickPoint logistics service has decided to stop working in Russia. How said According to Kommersant sources, the company has told its partners that it will deliver all previously accepted shipments and unclaimed goods will be returned to customers by the end of April.

In a letter from the CEO of PickPoint, Nadezhda Romanova, which the newspaper has available, it is said that such a decision is linked to financial difficulties. According to her, the decline in turnover was caused by the departure of foreign traders, who constituted the bulk of the service’s customer portfolio, as well as the impossibility of obtaining financing from a Western investor.

Romanova noted that from April 4, PickPoint stops accepting new shipments from legal entities and individuals. At the same time, the letter says, all undelivered and unclaimed goods will be returned to customers from April 6 to April 30.

Difficulties with customers and counterparties at PickPoint at the end of 2022. PickPoint has 6,000 parcel terminals and 4,500 collection points in 657 Russian cities.

Denis Petrushevsky, general manager of Halva parcel terminals, explained that the departure of the service from the market offers opportunities for the development of other players in this segment.

Mikhail Burmistrov, general manager of Infoline-Analytics, noted that it is becoming increasingly difficult for independent players to compete with Yandex. Delivery”, “Sberlogistics”, 5Post and others.
