The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs honored the graduates of the first batch of the new Qatari imams course for national service recruits, and the graduates of the eighteenth batch of the Qatari imams course, within the program "Trails and beacons" For the year 2023. The graduation ceremony, which was attended by Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwari, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for Dawah and Mosques Affairs, Mr. Malallah Abdul Rahman Al-Jaber, Director of the Department of Call and Religious Guidance, and Brigadier General Ahmed Saud Al-Kuwari, Vice President of the National Service Academy, included honoring the teachers who presented Legal courses. In this context, said Mr. Omar Uqla Al-Ruwaili, Head of the Department of the Institute of Da’wah and Islamic Sciences "The course for new imams for national service recruits came after the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministries of Awqaf and Defense, to attract those assigned by the National Service Academy to join the position of imam."Indicating that the number of graduates of this course reached 15 imams. In his speech during the graduation ceremony, he added that the new Qatari imams course is an extension of the series of qualifying legal courses for Qatari imams, which were launched in 2005, and the number of graduates over the past years has reached more than 250 Qatari imams, pointing out that the number of graduates of this course has reached 16. an imam. Al-Ruwaili indicated that the holding of these courses confirms the interest of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and its great keenness to attract the youth of the country to the position of imam, and to qualify them to carry out the task of leading people in prayer, giving scientific lessons and legal lectures, and calling to God with wisdom and good advice. In a related context, the participants expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for holding these courses aimed at developing their skills and developing their legal knowledge, praising the endeavor of the Institute for Da’wah and Islamic Sciences to emphasize the status of Islamic science. Imam Badr Al Jasmi, one of the graduates of these courses, said "We celebrate the graduation of a constellation of distinguished Qatari imams for this year, and we turn a page from the pages of diligence, perseverance and diligence, in the hope of continuing development and scientific qualification and acquiring various skills, in compliance with the Almighty’s saying (God raises those who believe among you and those who were given knowledge by degrees, and God is aware of what you do), expressing His thanks and appreciation to those in charge of these courses and their tireless efforts to make them a success. At the end of the honoring ceremony, Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwari, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for Dawah and Mosques Affairs, and Brigadier General Ahmed Saud Al-Kuwari, Vice President of the National Service Academy, handed out graduation certificates to the participants in the two sessions.
