Ex-Finance Minister Zadornov: Global crisis will significantly affect venture capital markets

Former Russian Finance Minister Mikhail Zadornov said that the most serious consequences of the new global financial crisis will occur in the cryptocurrency and venture capital markets.

According to him, at the moment the world economy is in crisis. At the same time, the impact of this crisis will be far greater than the crisis that occurred in 2008. This will occur due to the intersection of market imbalances with geopolitics.

“Somewhere there will be a correction, somewhere the bubble will burst. In the event that we are talking about real estate markets, then there will be a correction – 20% -25%. If it is cryptocurrency or venture capital, they will suffer the most severe consequences, because they are unregulated and not backed by anything,” Zadornov added.

He clarified that this year there could be a slowdown in global economic growth and did not rule out a recession in EU countries and the United States of America.
